The Oakley Splinter sunglasses for men are a style that convey a look of street sophistication and take inspiration from Oakley athletes, perfectly defining the sleek Oakley style that never fails to impress in the function department! The frame is made of the ultra lightweight C-5 alloy, using a unique blend of five metal compounds to achieve premium durability with low weight. The Splinter sunglasses are constructed using the Three-Point Fit structure which allows the frame to only make contact with the face at the sides of the head and the bridge of the nose and holds the lenses in precise optical alignment. The custom-engineered spring hinges and Unobtainium arm sleeves work to increase grip as perspiration levels also increase and thus ensures a secure fit that stays comfortably in place for all-day wear. Conveying the sleek style through colour, the Splinter sunglasses are available in tones including light silver, brown chrome and matte black with the Oakley logo subtly displayed upon the temple. The lenses are specifically curved and contoured to maximise protection and are made of Plutonite which effectively filters out 100 percent of all UVA, UVB and UVC rays. The incorporation of Oakley’s XYZ Optics also maintains precise and sharp visual clarity and maximises peripheral vision. Some styles within the Splinter collection also come equipped with an iridium lens coating to effectively reduce glare and balance light transmission and Polarised lenses which help to reduce the glare reflected from flat surfaces and provide the ultimate visual quality.
